1981-1983:
Peggy joined the School in 1981 as a student office-assistant to the Director.
As a non-traditional student she brought to the school seven years of previous work experience.
Assuming responsibility for the Internship Program in 1983 it has since become one of the largest and most successful programs of its kind at MSU. She also worked with corporations across the country in support of full-time recruitment of graduates and established a web based program in 1998 linking employers and students to post positions, view resumes and arrange interview schedules.
She held the first Packaging Career Fair some 20 years ago, which now sells out regularly with over 100 companies and 300 students attending. Responsibilities have also included development and production of the school's promotional brochures, coordinating overseas study programs in London & Sweden, and co-chairing the 4th International Conference on Packaging held in Lansing in 1985 and WorldPak in 2002.
Current:
In September 2007 Peggy changed positions and became Coordinator of Outreach Education Programs. It is her goal to create short courses, seminars and certificate programs that will become a vital and important source of knowledge, information and education for the packaging industry.
